  1. It’s ok for HER,not not okay for others. Please note..I’ve NEVER seen any pictures from anyone , of her offspring. So if I drive down her Public road where that shack is, I’m stalking , but video taping cows and farms is ok? Total hypocrite.

Oh look today was wash clothes in the creek.

  2. “These are absolute gorgeous cows.”
Yup they are cause they have a real farmer that knows how to take care of animals with proper feed and care.

Jojo you could have absolute gorgeous animals too if you took better care of them. It is not hard.

Caption to this is priceless. Kudos to Sally

  3. Caption to this is priceless. Kudos to Sally

Not original. It’s someone else’s comment. I shamelessly stole it.

  4. Bill that was the first thing I saw when I looked at the photo. Guess she was adding her poop to the pile. Those are gorgeous longhorns. Mama cows are pretty protective of their calves.

  5. This is just another example of Joe and Nicole’s total disregard for others personal property and pure stupidity.

Getting that close to snap pictures or take a video of the baby calf’s and upsetting their mothers is not a good idea. Those female Longhorn mother’s could have easily charged through those three strand’s of barbwire to protect their calf and hurt themselves in doing so.

If one of those mother’s had charged through the fence and cut it’s self to pieces do you even think the Nauglers would have taken responsibility for causing the calf’s mother to charge at them?

Would they even offer to pay for the damage’s?

Really, what is up with this couple snapping pictures and taking videos of everyone else’s property in the county but she goes ape-shit if someone takes a picture of their little dump?

  6. “Would they even offer to pay for the damage’s?”

Probably not. A generic Longhorn would probably run about $400 (not including the calf) and if these are genetic seed stock Longhorns than a cow would set them back $1500 or so.

  7. She sure doesn’t think twice about photographing someone else’s property but will blatantly do the exact same thing. Hypocrite!

  8. As long we are talking about someone else’s property….there are pictures of the fam at the creek and someone asks if the creek is on their property. Nope, she says. It’s down the road. So whose property and creek are they swimming on? Maybe the cows gave them permission.

And how come they are just not swimming in their own pond? Because, ewwwwww.

  9. If the cow had charged and hurt itself, the Nauglers would have blamed the farmers for having the fence there. #freerange

  10. I would guess the Nauglers are taking Sunday drives to Indiana looking for a place to move. I think they realize that the county is not going to be ok with just a port a potty instead of a septic system.

It’s just a personal thing that I disagree with, but I wanted to point something out. The Naugler kids are playing in a public park. I always teach my kids to respect nature. Sure, they cut trees, move rocks, build forts and dig mud canals at home in the yard. But I wouldn’t let them move lots of rocks in a public creek and build a rock wall to change the flow of water. It is not their property and is supposed to be a place where everyone can come and enjoy nature. The videos she posted of her kids in the water show them moving a large amount of rocks. There is even a picture of the finished rock wall dam on her instagram. I think nature does a good job of being amazing all by itself. I’m glad her family can enjoy this place to cool off in the heat but I hope the kids aren’t tearing up the rest of the park.

  11. Bea,
Kentucky must have different water laws. Here, building dams in the creeks with rocks can net you a citation.
water rights get impeded that way.

  12. Who thinks they left it as they found it? Put the rocks back where they came from? Or as usual did she leave it to others to clean up their mess?

  13. This is only #unschoolinglife if her kids don’t know what cows are.

Today I took my daughter on a hike. Sometimes when we hike, it’s just to look at pretty things. I don’t consider that unschooling time. Today, when we went for a hike, we talked about the different types of vegetation, and I had with me some age-appropriate books on different types of seeds for trees in the forest and such. This was unschooling time. I used her current interest in going for hikes to guide her education. Winter break and summer break? We don’t take them. She doesn’t want them. She likes to learn, and we aren’t lazy assholes who think kids will learn by osmosis, as if the knowledge they need is buried in trash like twisted portkeys, and they just need to touch it for the knowledge to magically transfer to them.

Who thinks Nicole and Joe bother teaching their kids? Unschooling doesn’t have a set curriculum, but you do still need to actually teach and have goals to work toward. God damn, Naughlers. Get your non-literal shit together.

  14. Kaylee,
My sister has a B.A, Master’s Degree and a P.H.D in Education and other shit I can not even pronounce. She and I have openly discussed ” Unschooling” and she laughed really hard.
According to her opinion, the Naugler’s are a simple, “Poverty Case” whom are neglecting their children, by avoiding sending them to school to avoid Teacher’s, Peer’s, Social Workers or anyone else who has a duty to report under state law.
She was mortified when she read just the first page of this blog and saw the living conditions in which these children were living.

According to the video above, the Naugler children are getting a DRIVE-BY UNSCHOOLING EDUCATION….zero hands on…there is NO curriculum!!!
Just Mal and Pal with a cell phone….snapping pictures and taking videos of EVERYONE ELSES PERSONAL PROPERTY in the whole dammmmmed county !!!

O’ But to them….that’s a Class Trip !!!! Invading someone else’s personal property.

Just think how a child would see this.
O’Look, Mommy it’s that lady again in the Van with a bunch of kids, she is taking pictures AGAIN…… of our cow taking a pooo.
    Who is she Mommy?
Why of course little Johnny, that is Nicole Naugler.
The crazy woman who lives down the road.
If you ever see her out….run baby run…. and hide your cup of water.

    HAHaaaa SMK 🙂
    Have a Nice day Nicole

  15. Melissa, Nicole and Joe non-school. They actively strand in the way of their children learning by limiting their access to things that can help them lean any by setting them wild in such a way that their focus is on surviving instead of learning.

I know a lot of people who unschooled or were unschooled the way I do, and went on to four-year universities, including Harvard, a couple on full scholarships, about the big difference between them/me and the Nauglers is we have educational goals to make sure kids are learning and not falling behind, despite lacking a pre-planned curriculum (that’s really all unschooling is supposed to be, but it’s not supposed to lack goal), while the Nauglers seem intend on keeping their children uneducated and very limited in opportunities. Unschooling can be done right, but it REQUIRES parents being active and involved and making sure kids are learning and meeting goals and milestones. You work the goals into what a kid is interested in at an given time so that it’s more relevant to them and they retain the information. My day yesterday didn’t include a hike, but it was a good chance to have some outdoor education time. This summer has natural science goals, and when my child wants to do something that will get us a little step closer to a goal, my plans take a back seat and we leap at the chance to actively teach. If you’d like, I can tell you more about what we do, and where my daughter is at academically. I do have her tested through my state, and she’s a couple grades over her age in most subjects.

Look, most Montessori schools have no curricula, and instead let children move at their own pace using their interests, while making sure no child falls behind. No one sneers at Montessori. Proper unschooling is very similar, but takes place at home instead of a private school we can’t afford.

Fuckwads like the Nauglers, who think unschooling is letting kids run wild and hope for the best, have ruined it by trying to claim they’re unschooling. I wish they’s just call it non-schooling because that’s what it is.

  16. Kaylee… How can I reach you? Sally, can you give her my email address? I would really like to talk to you about unschooling .

  17. Kaylee… How can I reach you? Sally, can you give her my email address?

If you each confirm that the email addresses you are using are valid, I can share them with you both.

  18. I’m just getting really tired of her putting down the public school system. The high school in the county just received its 4th bronze medal, 4 years in a row.

The high school here does everything it can to make sure that all their seniors graduate. And might I add they have an outstanding music program as well.

  19. I’ve said it before, this ongoing Nauglerdom reminds me of “The Emperor Has No Clothes.” A wonderful fairy tale by Han Christian Andersen. I keep the faith that a character much like the child, will reveal the “transparency”.

A vain Emperor who cares about nothing except wearing and displaying clothes hires two weavers who promise him the finest, best suit of clothes from a fabric invisible to anyone who is unfit for his position or “hopelessly stupid”. The Emperor’s ministers cannot see the clothes themselves, but pretend that they can for fear of appearing unfit for their positions and the Emperor does the same. Finally the weavers report that the suit is finished, they mime dressing him and the Emperor marches in procession before his subjects. The townsfolk play along with the pretense, not wanting to appear unfit for their positions or stupid. Then a child in the crowd, too young to understand the desirability of keeping up the pretense, blurts out that the Emperor is wearing nothing at all and the cry is taken up by others. The Emperor suspects the assertion is true, but continues the procession.

  20. Is that dried food on the plate with the enchiladas? I know Nicole has said that each person has to wash their own dishes or they have the consequence of having no dish to eat on. They should be careful with that in this hot weather. If a child doesn’t was his dirty dish until it is time to eat again, and just scrapes it off, the bacteria load on the plate could still be enough to make a child sick. That’s why kids need parents working along side them, not expecting them to just learn on their own.

  21. I bet when the children went into foster care, they were amazed that there is more to food than one pot slop. I commend the children who do their very best to cook for a large family. It’s just sad that their parents skill level is so low they can’t even teach their kids how to cook.

  22. Does it shock anyone that the kin went straight to the salad bar yesterday at coral? You usually go for stuff you rarely get.
